Being Fitted Together Ephesians 2:21 Over the last few months, the church has seen a steady growth and many are being added to us weekly. Just last Sunday, we hit an all-time high in our attendance, and all our congregations are registering healthy and encouraging growth in their respective fellowships. But there’s more to it than just numerical growth. God wants to fit each of us as living stones into His Holy Temple. Have you seen a pile of bricks at a construction site? If the builder does not fit them together, they will merely remain an unsightly, useless pile of bricks. We’re like bricks, ranging in all shapes and sizes, waiting for the Master to fit us together. Each brick in the building is essential. Without it, the building cannot be completed. A missing brick leaves a hole in the building and no matter how beautiful the building is, the hole in it will always be an eye sore and the building imperfect. God is already in the process of fitting each one of us into His building. In this process, He has to reshape us so that we can become a perfect fit where He wants to place us. Reshaping can be a painful and uncomfortable process, but needful nevertheless if the building is to be built according to pattern. It requires us to make adjustments, change our mindsets, step out of our comfort zones and put our complete trust in the Master Builder. The brick does not have a say in where it should be fitted. Bricks that cannot be reshaped will be left out of the building process. May we be pliable and willing to allow God to make us into His perfect fit so that we can become part of His Holy Temple. These are exciting days and each of you has a part to play in the building of this spiritual house.
