A plumbline is a simple but important instrument. It’s just a string that’s attached to a plummet, usually a piece of lead, and is used to determine the straightness of a vertical surface. In the construction site, the plumbline is used to see if a building is straight or not. But in Scripture, it’s used to refer to the divine standard in which God will measure us. The question is – who carries this plumbline and what’s God measuring?
