The Feast of Passover in the Old Testament is a picture of salvation in the New Testament. As the Feast was celebrated, it represented a new beginning for the nation of Israel. In the same manner, salvation marks a brand new beginning for us as well. An important aspect of this new life is the adoption of a new way of thinking. God’s ways are vastly different from the world’s ways, and the Lord wants to renew our minds so that we may know and attest to what is pleasing to Him.
