“In March 2007, I attended a meeting in which the speaker taught about visions and dreams.
God is really good. He not only gave me the blessings, but also revealed to me how I can get it. He is trying to teach me some Kingdom principles — prophetic acts. I will never forget this journey with Him, who gave me the blessings and at the same time, allowed me to co-labour with Him.
He quoted Joel 2:28-31 “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Yours sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women: I will show wonders in the heavens and on earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful Day of the Lord.”
He said when God gives us a vision, we must say it out loud so that God can act on our words. A vision given by God reveals the heart of God. In the same month, while I was spending time with God at home, I saw myself in a vision standing up and being prayed for by a lot of Christians. The background was very noisy as thousands of Christians were praying for me to conceive. When they prayed, it looked like an arrow was being shot into my womb. The arrow represented the power of the tongue. I understood that it was God’s desire to give me children and He wanted me to get this blessing through corporate prayer. So I asked the whole cell group to pray for me during a cell group meeting. Unexpectedly, only Bernard, my cell group Bible teacher, prayed but the rest just laid hands on me. “It was not the scenario that I saw in that vision.” I told myself.
In April 2007, I had a dream. In the dream, God told me that I would conceive in June this year. When I woke up, I told God that I was ready to have children. I did not mind if the blessing would come earlier. While I was still lying on the bed, mediating on what God had revealed to me in the dream, I saw in a vision an angel with a pair of wings standing in front of me. Suddenly, the face of this angel changed to one of my cell group members’. Her name was Evelyn. In the vision, Evelyn said, “Charis, sing a song to praise the Lord for He has given you a child.” Then I sang the song “I sing praises to your name” to give praise to God.
On 7 May 2007, I attended Todd Bentley’s seminar at Cornerstone. I went with my husband, my mother and my friends. My ex-church friend, Doreen, was sitting next to me. While Todd Bentley was preaching and healing the sick, he pointed to the section where Doreen and I were sitting. He said he sensed from the Lord that there were some barren women here who never had children but the Lord wanted to give them babies. I can’t wait until he finished what he said. I stood up immediately. My friend Doreen also stood up after that. Todd Bentley asked the whole church to pray for us to conceive. “This is the scenario that I saw in the vision in March”. I knew it in my heart. Todd Bentley prophesied over the two of us that:
- We would conceive supernaturally;
- God would give us twins if we want;
- Our pregnancy is going to be a testimony to testify the power of God.
After the conference, my husband Wilson bought two of Todd Bentley’s books. While I was reading one of his books called “The Reality of the Supernatural Realm”, I saw in a vision a big eagle flying towards me. Then I was slain by the Holy Spirit.
Last week, I went to see the gynaecologist and she confirmed that I am in the 3rd week of pregnancy. Praise God!
Last Thursday, while I was taking a bus, the Lord started to speak to me. He said my baby is birthed by prophecy. I asked Him why. He started to reveal to me the following things:
- When God gave me a vision in March, I proclaimed it loudly at home. This is the act of prophecy. When a vision is spoken out, it becomes a prophecy.
- The cell group member that I saw in the vision has a gift of prophecy. That’s the reason why God put her face in the vision but not others.
- The big eagle that I saw in the vision also represents prophecy.
God is really good. He not only gave me the blessings, but also revealed to me how I can get it. He is trying to teach me some Kingdom principles – prophetic acts. I will never forget this journey with Him, who gave me the blessings and at the same time, allowed me to co-labour with Him. I could only understand now how awesome our Lord is.
