In Matthew 7, Jesus warned that wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction and many go in by it. But narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. What’s that all about?
The narrow gate is designed by God to strip you of everything you once held close to – things that have kept you from your destiny. There are many things in life that hold us back – besetting sins, wrong company, bad habits, carnal desires, unholy hobbies, self-ambition, etc. that keep us outside the city. But if you want to enter, you’ve to go through the narrow gate, which means you’ve to let God peel off from you everything that keeps you in bondage. But inside, you’re free, and you’ll find life, abundantly.
