In all of history, there are very few people who have been given the title ‘GREAT’. The Greeks had their ‘Alexander’ and the Persians had their ‘Cyrus’. The Anglo Saxons had their ‘Alfred’, and in more recent times, the Russians had their ‘Catherine the Great’. But in all of Israel’s history, there were two kings who were called great. This desire to be great is an inherent and legitimate desire placed by God. All of us have a desire to do something significant in our lives and leave our mark in history. May we end our lives knowing that we’ve hit the mark that God has for us.
