I wonder what comes to your mind when I use the word ‘radical’. Most of us would associate it with some form of extremism. We think of radicalised religious fervour, radical right-wing ideas, or even radicalised social reforms. But that’s not how the word actually pans out. The original meaning of RADICAL is ‘to go back to the root or origin’. It comes from the Latin word ‘Radix’, which simply means ROOT. Being radical is simply a call to return to our roots, our core and to our first works.
