Missions Talk with Jim Yost

(Cornerstone Katong Main Auditorium)

23 March 2023

Join Ps. Jim Yost, movement pioneer and missionary to Papua since 1977, for an evening of conversation on global missions. All are welcome!

About Jim Yost
Jim, along with his wife Joan, left for Irian Jaya, Indonesia in February of 1977 and pioneered a church-planting work among the northern Sawi and Asmat tribes located in the southern lowlands of Irian Jaya (now called Papua). They witnessed a spiritual awakening there that ushered hundreds of people into God’s Kingdom. A church-planting movement was born and continues to grow to this day. In 1996, they moved to the coastal city of Sentani. Taking the concept of ‘church without walls’, they planted cell-based fellowships on school campuses, open-air markets, basketball courts, in prisons, prostitution centers, and on street corners. Jim continues to actively mentor others to see movements happen that utilise obedience-based discipleship based on discovering Bible learning with high accountability.
