God Filled the Gaps in my Bones!

On 30 April 2011, I had a horse-riding accident and was hospitalised in a specialist hospital in Johor Bahru. The initial CT scan showed a compression fracture of my sacrum. Miraculously, within 24 hours after the accident, the pain reduced greatly, and I didn’t need any painkiller, and I could get out of bed with some help.

A few days later, I was transferred to Tan Tock Seng Hospital in Singapore, where the doctor notified me of a more serious fracture at along my thoracic spine, termed chance fracture. The first option given by the doctor was to undergo surgery to fix the bones together. Alternatively, the doctor said that a natural recovery may take place in a few months’ time. I thought about it, and decided not to go for the surgery due to the risks involved, but most importantly, it was because I strongly believed that God can heal me.

During my hospitalisation, my cell leader, together with a few others from the church, visited and prayed for me, especially for a good night’s rest. That night, I slept through the night without being awakened by the nurses when they took my temperature and blood pressure. After my hospitalisation, I was still experiencing difficulty while sitting due to the bruised sacrum, and there was some pain along my upper back. I was being prayed for again, and the pain left.

My subsequent CT scan reports indicated stability, but I was still required to wear the body brace for at least another three months. The doctor said that it will take at least six months from the time of the accident to see a progression in the bone growth. Shortly after, the Lord gave me a vision of me on the surgery table in an operating theatre, and God was filling the gaps in my bones! And so, I decided to seek for a second opinion from an orthopaedic. At that same time, I took the step of faith and stopped wearing the body brace. The doctor came back with the CT scan report that read, “Healed fractures noted, no detectable fracture line or fracture fragment seen on the current scan!”

What was meant to be a natural recovery that may take at least six months, the Lord brought complete healing in a much shorter time. With God, all things are possible! Praise the Lord!

I thank God for my healing, and for sending my cell group and church members, and family and friends who prayed, encouraged, and support me physically by being my hands and feet when I needed help. Glory to God!
