In October last year, my 86-yr-old grandpa accepted Christ and wanted to get baptised immediately. Some of our pastors and deacons came to his place the very next day, explained what baptism was, and baptised him. The amazing thing was the transformation I witnessed in him. From a grumpy old man, he became joyous and kept declaring, “New life! New life! Jesus is my Saviour!” His countenance had changed drastically.
The team also noticed that he had a large festering wound that was oozing blood and water. He has had this condition for 6 years, couldn’t walk, and was always in pain, even at the slightest movement. We took him to GPs, hospital specialists, and they put him through all sorts of tests. But the doctors could not find a root cause nor a solution. They simply told us it was part of old age.
Our pastors prayed for him, and declared healing on the wound. They taught him that Jesus was his Healer and encouraged him to contend for healing as well. Today, his wound has COMPLETELY healed! The white patch in the photo where the wound used to be has been replaced with brand new skin. My grandpa says there’s no more pain!
With this amazing healing, my grandpa’s faith has been strengthened, since he saw with his own eyes that Jesus healed him. All praise to God!
