Jeremiah 12:5 says, ‘If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, then how can you contend with horses?’ This verse has been quickened to me on many occasions, especially as I was going through a difficult patch. Each time I felt the urge to complain, the Holy Spirit would bring it to my attention. The prophet is complaining about the ministry, and does not understand why some things were happening in his life. To which he’s told – “Grow up and learn to bear the pressure, because worse things are yet to come!” If we’re unable to cope with the pressure right now, how in the world are we going to face the last days?
