BACK TO TESTIMONIES

Steward of His Healing

In my line of work, shoulder, back and neck aches are rather common. I had minor neck strains before, but it was particularly bad that first week of November. There was a nagging pain in my neck on my left side that ran down my shoulder and it was so bad that I was finding it very difficult to turn my head. In addition I was also getting occasional stabbing shots of pain in my left forearm.

That Sunday (November 2, 2008) when the altar opened for prayer for healing, initially I went up as part of the prayer team, but when all those who came up had been prayed for, I decided that I wanted God’s healing for myself too! My silent prayer was: ‘God, if I’m going to pray for healing for others, I need a personal testimony. Heal me!’

I was prayed for and although I didn’t receive healing instantly, I believed that God was going to heal me and kept believing.

The next day when I woke up, I turned my head left and right and there was no pain at all! I was completely healed! And my hand didn’t give me any trouble either! Praise the Lord!

Although it’s been busier at work lately, I have not gotten a neck ache since that day I was healed. Praise the Lord! Of course I remind myself to be a good steward of the gift of healing He has given and take short breaks in between work to avoid getting it again, but now I know He is indeed Jehovah Rapha, the Lord our Healer.
